Case Study — Events & Entertainment
A wedding chatbot that answers questions — and runs the photo booth.
We built a WhatsApp bot for a real wedding. Guests asked it anything they wanted to know about the day, and submitted photos to a live slideshow. The most active photographer won the night.
The Challenge
Every wedding has the same two problems.
Guests have questions all day — when’s the ceremony, where’s the dinner, what’s the dress code, where do I park. The hosts spend hours answering them, often the same question twenty times.
And then there’s the photo booth. They cost up to €500, take up space, run out of paper, and most photos never make it into anyone’s phone afterwards.
- Guests ask the same questions all day, and someone has to answer them.
- Photo booths are pricey, awkward, and produce prints that often get left behind.
- Photos guests take on their phones rarely make it back to the couple.
- Apps don’t help — nobody installs an app for one party.
The Solution
One WhatsApp number. Two roles.
A single number printed on a card on every table. One scan, and the guest is talking to a bot that handles two completely different jobs.
The Knowledge Bot
Stocked with everything from the wedding website — schedule, venue, dress code, dietary info, contact details. Guests asked it whatever they wanted, in their own words. It always answered.
The Photo Challenge
Guests sent photos directly to the bot via WhatsApp. Each photo joined a live slideshow projected at the venue. Guests competed for most submissions — the winner got a prize at the end of the night.

Behind the scenes
Built in Intalos — no code.
The whole bot — knowledge module, photo handling, slideshow integration — was assembled visually in our drag-and-drop editor over a weekend.
- Branching dialog flows for guest interactions.
- An AI-powered knowledge module fed straight from the wedding website.
- Photo capture wired through a webhook to the slideshow service.
- A leaderboard counter for the photo challenge.
How it works.
Four simple steps from a printed table card to a smiling guest.
1
Guest scans the QR
A small QR code on the table card opens a WhatsApp chat with the wedding bot — no app to install, no signup.
2
Asks, or sends
Same chat, two superpowers. Type a question, or attach a photo. The bot decides what to do with each.
3
Bot answers, or queues
Knowledge module replies in seconds. Photos flow through a webhook into the slideshow on the wall.
4
The party flows
Guests get info instantly without bothering anyone, the slideshow keeps everyone smiling, and the couple can actually enjoy their day.
What this proves.
Zero install for guests
WhatsApp is on every guest’s phone already. No app store visit, no friction. Even your less-techy aunt can use it.
Days, not weeks
The whole bot — knowledge base ingestion, photo flow, slideshow integration — was set up over a single weekend.
Guests had fun
The photo challenge turned a passive booth into an active party game. The slideshow on the wall was the highlight of the evening.
Got an event coming up? Let’s build a bot for it.
Weddings, conferences, birthdays, festivals — anywhere a crowd has questions and the host wants memories. We’d love to put a bot on your big day.
